My journey into the world of Soul work began in 1988 with chance encounters with two sages. They weren’t personal encounters, but both men spoke to something that was ready to awaken into consciousness. One was the great Joseph Campbell, whose Power of Myth series confirmed an intuitive sense I had that all spiritual traditions are connected by a thread of Truth. The second was the Dalai Lama, whose appearance on a television program brought tears of recognition and resonance with his message about the power of simple kindness.. From the impact of these two transformative teachers was born a serious case of divine discontent from which I have (thankfully) yet to recover.
I am grateful to the many teachers who have graced me with their wisdom in this lifetime: Dr. Audrah Maayefied (spiritual philosophy), Jaki Daniels (shamanic healing methods), William Tupkal (Reiki Master), William Rand (Karuna Reiki Master), Pamela Wilson (the lineage of Ramana Maharshi through Robert Adams), Adyashanti, Adam Elenbaas (Archetypal Astrology), Patricia Walsh, Rose Marcus and Laura Nalbandian (Evolutionary Astrology).
I am also grateful for my formal training in Anthropology (BA, University of Alberta, Plains Indians Culture focus) and proud to be a Registered Social Worker (University of Calgary, clinical focus), and for all of the doors that have opened to me because of these academic credentials.
From these many threads of teaching — my formal training, personal practice, friends , my incredibly supportive sons, Matthew and Joel, my daughter, Dana whose life and death turned my interests into a passion for healing, family, fellow seekers of truth, clients and students and great many generous mentors along the path — I have fashioned my life and my work…
