You and Me and Frequency

The Libra Moon occurred at 8:12 PM April 1 when the Sun in Aries achieved exact alignment with the Moon at 12 degrees Libra.  Aries and Libra are the relational axis in the chart.  Aries represents the Self, our identity,  the way in which we present ourselves to the world, how we assert ourselves with directness and authenticity.  Libra represents the Other.  It describes how we tend to relate to others and who we tend to relate to.  Where Aries is self focused and independent, Libra is peacemaker, mediator, diplomat.

Libra’s love of balance and harmony colours its orientation towards others – in particular those with which it is in committed relationships. Whether marriage partner, business, partner or friendships, Libra will readily repress its own needs and desires to please others and may inadvertently create false harmony because it is so reluctant to “rock the boat”.  Instead of true interdependence where both parties are expressing and meeting needs in the relationship by mutual agreement, Libra will do all in its power to avoid the potential for conflict that comes with expressing needs directly and setting appropriate boundaries.

Not only does Libra describe our relational style but, at a more fundamental level, it represents who is residing in our energy field - whether present day relationships or those from the past.   You may have heard the trope that when we partner with someone, there are more than just us in the bed!  It could be lovers from the past with whom there is unfinished business, it could be a parent whose attachment and relational style we have unconsciously absorbed and are expressing, it could be any number of abandonments, betrayals, or wounds around relating that are as yet unseen, unforgiven or still active in some way.

This Full Moon presents us with a strong potential for clarity about relationships present or past, and how they are playing out themes of self-worth, our deepest values and priorities.  These are Venus related words and it is Venus that rules the sign of Libra and this Full Moon.  With clarity, we are also presented with a choice point at this time.  Why a choice point?  For that we need to see this Full Moon from the perspective of energy, frequency and vibration.

Knowing who and what has taken up residence in our field helps us to understand what we are interacting with, what access we have to it and it to us. Is it is enhancing or costing us energy?  Who and what we relate to on a regular basis affects our energetic wellbeing…and this includes, people, environments, social media, substances, beliefs, images - whatever we partake of on a regular basis. All of these have an energetic signature with a frequency and all of these frequencies are either a match, within a certain bandwidth, to our own, or are lower than that bandwidth which equals a drain on our own.  Our nervous system will tell us which are which.

When Aries and Libra work brilliantly together we guard the valuable resource of our inner peace, harmony, equilibrium with good boundaries and with willingness to defend them if necessary.  When we are operating on the positive expression of both polarities of this axis we know we can and will stand up for ourselves when necessary, that we will banish those frequencies that detract from our inner peace and resolve to co-create relationships on the basis of true harmony rather than that of avoidance of conflict.  Harmony is created by two tones that work together not just one.  We trust ourselves to choose relationships that can contain a certain amount of respectful conflict, differences of beliefs and interests, and that support a willingness to grow together as a result of those conflicts and differences because this kind of evolutionary growth is, after all, the purpose of our important Soul contracts.

This time is full of potential to come into realignment with ourselves first and with others.  This is a perfect time to ask whether we are in relationships with people, habits, unfinished business from the past or situations which are no longer serving us or in alignment with our frequency.  Libran energy is objective, analytical and yet being Venus ruled, it is also loving and heart centred.  What might we see from another’s perspective?  What deeper need is being served by some of our habits or addictions, what is holding us to the past that we have not yet been able to resolve?  This is a time for recognizing our innocence our vulnerability and our fears and holding ourselves, comforting ourselves, valuing ourselves enough to do what is right by ourselves and others and to do it with compassion and care.

In fact, this Full Moon is receiving some tough, but loving support from Jupiter, the planet of truth, justice and higher learning who now resides in the sign of Cancer.  When Jupiter is in Cancer it amplifies its feeling and caring nature.  It asks us to be honest about our true needs and fearless in making sure that they are being met.  Jupiter is in a challenging but creative square to the Full Moon – so this assessment of our true needs, our bottom line needs for love, attention and safety is not an easy task but it is an essential one.  Libra will ignore its basic needs to preserve harmony, Aries will deny it has any and that its just fine on its own.  But underneath there is a balance point between these two opposites and it is for us to acknowledge what we do need and that we have every right to have them met.

Remember, that we are in a time of ascension and the frequency of light is pouring into the planet.  In fact, tonight we are in the midst of an X class solar flare event – there is a massive amount of light being projected by the Sun onto the planet and this is just one of many such events over the last several years.  Slowly but surely our frequency is rising and finding a higher set point.  This means there are people, places and circumstances that are outside of our current bandwidth and either there must be growth, change or if there is no longer a match – they must come to an end.  It is not personal, it is vibrational and yet there are personal consequences for all of us.

And thus the choice point that we find ourselves at under the influence of this Moon.  What will we continue to maintain a vibrational connection to?  Where are we seeing the consequences to our wellbeing by maintaining an energetic connection to people places circumstances from the past that have not fully been forgiven, let go, resolved with compassion and care?  Where might we be repressing important personal and relational needs to maintain a false sense of harmony? Where are we relating to a fantasy version of a person rather than to the person as themselves?  Where have we tolerated disrespect, indifference or even abuse?  Where are we still hoping the other person will change rather than recognizing what is begging for change within ourselves?  Where are we acting out relational patterns from our childhood conditioning that is causing harm to us, damage to others?

Venus, the ruler of Libra smiles at us now from her other home sign – Taurus.  In Taurus Venus is practical, grounded and resourced and she invites us to be the same.  Venus in Taurus asks us to assess where our energy is being directed.  Are these energy resources being wisely or unwisely directed?  Are they paying off for us in terms of our wellbeing, our self worth and our priorities or are they being wasted and needlessly diminished.

Venus is squared by Pluto in Aquarius now and this question is thus both personal and global.  Aries in shadow is war, Libra in shadow is making an appearance of diplomacy without substance – creating a false peace to appease and hide what is truly going on under the surface/

The Full Moon sheds light on what our optimal relational priorities need to be in order that we live in alignment with our highest purpose both personally and collectively.
